BHANDARAS & RAASLEELAS
Lord Krishna loves rendition of respect and reverence to those sadhus who stay in Vrindavan and are struggling through constant Tapasya and meditation to achieve Lord Krishna - the ultimate truth.Babaji says that saints and sadhus constitute organs of the Lord Krishna and holding Bhandaras for sadhus and Mahants of the various Ashrams bring punyas (positive points) to the organizers.
A Bhandara is a feast for the saints where Satvic food(pure food) , clothes (Chaddars) and Dakshina(money cash) is offered with respect to them. This whole act is witnessed by Lord Krishna who is invisible yet can be felt during the events.Lord Krishna is deeply pleased by these acts of piety and devotion by worldly devotees.Sadhus and saints who attend these Bhandaras , are at various stage of their spiritual evolution.Babaji advises that offerings must be made with great respect , devotion and reverence to all of them as one or few of them could be the Hans-the highest state of spiritual development.
A very large number of Bhandaras have been organized collectively by devotees of Babaji on major festivals like Akshay Tritiya,Krishna Janamashtami ,Radha Janamashtami ,Yogini Ekadashi,Gopashtami,Ramnavami Holi,Deepawali ,Goverdhan Puja and Sharad Purnima etc.Vrindavan is a city of festivals , where life is celebrated in constant company of Lord Krishna and Radhikaji.
Apart from Bhandaras ,a large number of Raasleelas are also organized in the temple .These Leelas are enactments of various events in the life of Lord Krishna like birth of Lord Krishna,Makhan chori ,Mud-eating and showing entire universe in his mouth by Lord Krishna , Kaliamardan ,Kans-vadh etc.
These stage-plays attract Lord Krishna and he blesses the gathering in invisible form.
To get the best out of watching these Leelas or divine plays, one is expected to transport and take himself to those periods when the Niraakar Brahm(Formless God) assumed human form as Lord Krishna to protect Sanatan Dharma, saints and his devotees from demons. These acts are relevant for all times and brings tremendous emotional and intellectual stability to human mind through blessings of the Lord.Vrindavan has a large number of Raas-mandalis to perform these leelas.
Babaji's presence during these functions charges the entire atmosphere with tremendous spirituality and spiritual joy.
Gausewa
With the setting up of 'Brahmarishi Shri Devaraha Bhakti Dham' at the temple complex in 2003,number of cows have gone up from nil to more than 100 now.Babaji says that cows are extremely dear to Lord Krishna and anyone who feeds and serves the cow, directly serves Lord Krishna.Babaji in his Paravani has repeatedly told that there is no difference between the cows and Lord Krishna as they are different manifestations of the same ultimate power i.e the Brahma .As such Gausewa , is the ultimate solution for all ills affecting individuals and human collectivities .One Gaushala lying adjacent to the temple was renovated three four years back and now houses about 50 to 60 cows .Another old Gaushala which was inhabitable and located in front of the temple has been renovated now.A major Bhandara is expected to be held on Gopashtami (date of emergence of mother cow on the earth -8 days after Deepawali on Ashtami of Shuklapaksh of Kartik month of Hindu calendar (falling this year on 15th November 2010)Babaji intends to set up another major Gaushala at Vrindavan in near future. According to Babaji , full protection and reverence to the cow (Desi cow) and increase in the population of cows is key to stability ,peace and prosperity of the country in particular and the world in general.Parting with your wealth for Gausewa (donation) is considered as the highest form of Saatvic Daan, which generates considerable value and Punyas for the donor and his past and future generations.
Brahmarishi Shri Devaraha Baba
Brahmarishi Shri Devaraha Baba ,one of the greatest and the ageless mahayogis of this country , who lived for more than 300 years had left his human body on the Yogini Ekadashi in 1990.Before his departure he had told his devotees that after departing from the human frame , he would continue to exist in microscopic form (Sukshma Body). He belongs to the world and the world belongs to him.But India i.e the Akhand Bharat - the land of Sanatan Dharma is very dear to him and he used to state that he would continue to work for the welfare of India .The babaji is very much present even today and shall remain so in future. The vital question is how do we locate him and reach him?

The author of this note/blog and numerous devotees of the current Babaji believe that the Brahmarishi Devaraha Baba resides in the deeds and persona of his shishya & a mahayogi in his own right i.e Brahmavtta Shri Devaraha Hans Baba (Hans Baba's photo below)

Brief History of Tikari Temple Complex
Tikari Mandir at Vrindavan was constructed by Maharani Inderjit Kuer in 1830 by the bank of Yamuna River. She spent most of her time at Vrindavan and purchased many properties at Vrindavan largely out of her own funds. In 1872,she wrote a deed through which ownership of these properties was vested in the main deity of the temple , i,e THAKUR RADHENDRA KISHOREJI alias THAKUR RADHAGOPAL JI alias THAKUR NANDKISHOR JI alias THAKUR INDRAKISHOR JI(Lord Krishna in child form). While the ownership of these properties was vested in the deity , who always remains a minor child , managament of this complex was done by the Tikari family.Another supplementary deed was written by the Rani in 1877 .These deeds lay down objectives and manner of managing the complex .The basic objective is to serve Thakurji thru daily services and organizing functions on all important festivals . It was stipulated that surplus income after spending on religious activities shall be used for purchasing assets for use as part of temple complex only and no part of income is to be utilised for personal deeds by any employee or Mutwali(Manager) . The temple remained under management control of following members of Tikari family followed by Brahmavetta Shri Devaraha Hans Baba .
Maharani Inderjit Kuer --> Maharani Raj Rup Kuer --> Maharani Radheshwari Kishori -->Maharajkumar Captain Gopal Saran Narain Prasad Singh -->Maharani Vidyawati Kuer -->Maharaj Kumari Umeshwari Kuer -- >Brahmavetta Shri Devaraha Hans Baba.
In post-independent India ,with the extinction of princely states and zamindari system , the finances of the temple complex came under stress.Although a certain amount of annuity was fixed by Bihar State Govt in lieu of abolition of Zamindari rights used for financing activities of the temple , this was inadequate to meet the needs of temple complex .
Having regard to various difficulties encountered in management of the temple complex , the rani and her two sons and one daughter (immediate succesors) unanimously entrusted and transferred the management rights to their family Guruji and one of the greatest living mahayogi Brahmavetta Shri Devaraha Hans Babaji on 22nd October 2002 .Since then temple activities were managed by Babaji with the help and assistance of his countless devotees and Brahmvetta Shri Devaraha Hans Baba Trust headed by Babaji. The temple complex comprising of main temple , Gaushala(having four parts) , BhaktaNiwas ,etc has been renovated completely within a few years .In the gaushala where there was not even a single cow , now two hundred cows are residing gracefully giving opportunities to devotees to serve them .Bhakta-Niwas which was completely inhabitable and in ruins has been renovated and made fully habitable .
Many major functions including bhandaras on various occasions like Vasant Panchami , Yogini Ekadashi , Akshya Tritiya ,Rakshabandhan ,Janamashtami , Haryali teej are now held regularly , as envisaged in the trust deeds of 1870's .Pran Pratishta of two statues of Brahmrishi Devaraha Baba was done in early 2003 and these were installed in the Garbh Griha .In addition about 36 idols of saints like Augustya Muni , Kabir , Mirabai etc have been installed in the temple in deference to the new name of the complex i.e 'Brahmrishi Shri Devaraha Baba Bhakti Dham'. Brahmrishi Devaraha Baba and his great disciple and a mahayogi in his own right Brahmvetta Shri Devaraha Hans Baba are great exponents of Bhakti as an end in itself and as a means of achieving Mukti and God and for restoration of peace and social harmony in the society. As the temple was entrusted to the management care of one of the greatest mahayogis of our time it has been restored to its old glory and a large number of devotees now visit the temple from all parts of the country and abroad.

BRAHMRISHI SHRI DEVRAHA BABA BHAKTI DHAAM
The Sadguru of our current Babaji i.e Brahmrishi Shri Devaraha Baba had left his body on the day of Yogini Ekadashi in 1990 . As we believe , his soul transmigrated into Hans baba and his devotees christened him as Brahmvetta Shri Devaraha Hans Baba.On this day of Yogini Ekadashi every year, a Bhandara ( offering respect to saints along with food , clothes and dakshina - money offering to facilitate their livelihood ) is organized at Tikari Mandir of Vrindavan . This temple was constructed by a Queen of Tikari estate in Bihar state of India in 1830's and has remained one of the most important temples of Vrindavan since then.Till 2002 , it was being managed by successors of the Queen .However the maintenance and operation of this magnificent temple was in a bad shape due to inability of the managing family to devote time and resources for the temple. The current family successor entrusted management control of the temple complex to venerable Babaji in 2002.Babaji has renovated this temple and restored its old glory .Lord Krishna in child form is the main deity and owner of this complex and it is now being managed by the trust headed by babaji.
The name of Lord Krishna in this temple is Thakur Radhender Kishore ji .About 200 cows live in the goshala of the temple complex and and all these cows came to the temple only after 2003 .According to Babaji Lord Krishna cannot be achieved or even felt without the prescene and service to cows.A large number of miracles keep happening around the deity and Babaji . Photos of the deity , Babaji sitting on his machan(a hut on elevated platform) , temple etc are uploaded for your view. The saints participating in the Bhandara do not follow any worldly profession and their only objective is to achieve God through chanting name of Lord Krishna and through spiritual activities only. The Bhandara enables devotees of Babaji to show their respect to these saints , who are unique and found mainly in India alone. It is believed that physical and financial participation in these Bhandaras on these important spiritual days brings both physical and spiritual good for the participants.
